ADA Compliance and Advocacy for the Deaf

The ADA is about our obligation to facilitate full communication to people who are otherwise unable to communicate like the rest of the general population.

Some individuals require auxiliary support including but not limited to ASL Interpreters.

This resource was developed to make it easier to render the essential service of ASL Interpretation.

Service personnel should understand how often the Deaf are asked to waive their rights by staff they sometimes desperately need assistance from.

Staff should be educated on procedures to ensure Deaf clients are not waiving their rights to equal access because of pressure to appease service staff.

It is my hope you’ll find interactions between the deaf and hearing worlds more achievable with the resources organized here.

As always, we are here to help with any questions you may have.

Thank you,

Rex is an American entrepreneur and an advocate for the Deaf.
